The Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar (CITK) invites applications for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under an innovative SERB-DST funded project in the Department of Instrumentation Engineering. This project offers an exciting opportunity to work on sustainable energy and agro-processing technologies in the North Eastern Region (NER) of India.
About the Project
Title: Design and Fabrication of Photovoltaic/Thermal Hybrid Solar Tunnel Dryer for Value Addition to Underutilized Agro Produce of NER-India.
Funding Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST, Government of India.
Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Rajesh Kondareddy, Assistant Professor, Department of Instrumentation Engineering, CITK.
The project aims to design a hybrid solar dryer that combines photovoltaic and thermal technologies, addressing the need for effective preservation and value addition for underutilized agricultural produce in NER-India.

Position Details
Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No of Posts: 01
Duration: Initial appointment for one year, extendable based on performance until the project's completion.
Salary: ₹31,000 + HRA (Revised to ₹37,000 upon approval).
Age Limit: As per SERB-DST norms, with age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per GoI rules.
Eligibility Criteria :
Essential Qualifications :
# BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech (Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics& Instrumentation /Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Food Engineering & Technology/ Chemical Engineering/ Agriculture Engineering or any other allied areas) from a recognized Institute/University with a first division or equivalent and GATE/NET qualified.
Desirable:
#Experience in project design, implementation, and renewable energy systems.
#Candidates eligible for Ph.D. admissions in January 2025 are preferred.
