Pay Scale: ₹48,480 - ₹85,920, with additional allowances

Total Vacancies for Assam: 50 posts, with reservations as per government norms

Posting Location: Within Assam for the first 10 years or until promotion to a higher grade

The total number of posts for the Local Bank Officer (LBO) position in Union Bank of India recruitment is 1,500, distributed across various states. Specifically, 50 posts are allocated for Assam.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution in India.

They should possess the required mark sheets or degree certificate at the time of application.

Age relaxations are applicable as per government rules for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and other eligible categories.

Candidates must be proficient in the Assamese language (reading, writing, and speaking) for posting in Assam.

The selection process will consist of the following stages:

1. Online Examination: Candidates will take an online test covering Reasoning, Computer Aptitude, General Awareness, Data Analysis, and English Language. The exam will be held at various centers, including Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Silchar, and Tezpur in Assam.

2. Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Candidates shortlisted in the online examination will undergo a language proficiency test to assess their command of Assamese. Those who have studied Assamese at the 10th or 12th-grade level are exempt from this test.

3. Personal Interview: Successful candidates in the online test and LPT will be invited for a personal interview.

4. Final Selection: Final merit will be determined by combining the scores from the online examination (80%) and interview (20%).
